Norma´s story "After losing a stone and a half in weight I decided I would try the Toning Tables to see if I could firm up my “flabby body”, so I got leaflets from two Toning Centres. The first one was very expensive and there was even an additional charge if you used the shaker plate. The second one was at the Heartbeat Gym which was much more reasonable at €40 per month and this included 10 minutes on the shaker plate per session. Also Anne, who runs the Toning Tables, is fully qualified and understands exactly what you should do to get the best possible results. Obviously, there was no contest between the two and I joined Heartbeat Gym Toning Tables nine weeks ago. In that time I have lost a total of 8½ inches having 4 to 5 hourly sessions per week. Five weeks ago I decided I not only wanted my body to be toned but I wanted it to be fit as well, so I joined the Gym. John, the owner, who is also fully qualified, will help you at all times and will, if you want, do an individual personal fitness programme to suit your particular needs. Kai, his partner, is always there for you to lend a helping hand and I feel she has spurred me on so much. At the end of September, I reached the “ripe old age!!” of 65 but thanks to these three wonderful people I feel like 50 again. I have loads more energy and feel so much fitter, I can walk up hills and stairs without getting breathless and I don’t get anywhere near the pain that I used to get from the arthritis I have in my legs. My husband could see the massive difference in me, so he has joined the Gym now as well. I would like to thank John, Kai and Anne for all their patience, help and kindness and for making my sessions at the Toning Tables and in the Gym so enjoyable and beneficial. To anyone reading this who wants to get fit and toned, do like I did and join Heartbeat Gym and Toning Tables. You will feel the advantages after only a few weeks.
